Meet The Keeper

As a sophomore in high school, Myra McNeely took her first accounting class and knew right then that this was her calling. After graduation, with a business scholarship in hand, she made her way to Charlotte for college at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she obtained an Accounting degree.

Myra has 12 years of experience in corporate America, working with small to mid-sized businesses. She has held positions in accounting and finance, operations, sales, management and training and uses this diverse background to assist clients with their financial management.

While going to school full time, she also worked full time. This gave her a major jump start into the business world. She worked for a mortgage company in the loan department and assisted people with buying and refinancing both residential and commercial property. Then, the accounts receivable division at the corporate headquarters of Swisher International, a commercial cleaning company, hired her to do collections for franchise owners and their major accounts. As the assistant controller for a payroll/staffing company, she worked with companies in many different industries to process their monthly payrolls for their employees and pay state and federal taxes. She has also been a tax accountant for a small CPA firm.

Right out of college, Myra accepted a position with Outdoor Lighting Perspectives Franchise Corporation (OLPF), a national landscape and architectural lighting company. OLPF had just begun franchising and brought her on to wear many hats. During her six years with them, she was involved in every facet of the business. She has experience in daily operations of a small, locally owned business as well as a National corporation with revenue of over $30,000,000 per year. Myra facilitated the training programs for all new franchise owners that entered the system. She had a major role in helping OLPF grow from 20 locations to 70 and expanding the concept internationally. Also, Myra assisted with the startup of an affiliate company to OLP, Mosquito Squad. She definitely understands the financial aspects of buying and owning a business.

As the owner of Bookkeeping On-Demand, Myra uses her calling to help small business owners to focus on managing their business while she manages their books. Myra says, “I thoroughly enjoy helping small businesses to more efficiently manage their money and put more down to the bottom line.”
